this painting was inspired by the many works of Samuel Beckett, and especially the absurdist play and comic, tragedy, of his greatest work, Waiting For Godot. The painting has many references within, from the missing shoe from Estragon's foot, to the Aries constellation under which Beckett was born on Friday the thirteenth, a date and time of great significance to him.
